Environmental platform · Swiss watchmaking

Environmental data, declared once. Received by every house.

CadranZero connects watch houses and their suppliers. The supplier carries out its LCAs and its carbon inventory, free of charge, then shares them with the houses of its choice. Each house consolidates its scope 3.1 from a single source.

CadranZero, in two minutes

From the supplier's declaration to a consolidated scope 3.1 on the house side: see the platform in motion.

The problem, solved

A single channel, instead of dozens

Today each house sends its own questionnaire. The same supplier receives dozens of them, all different. CadranZero replaces that disorder with a single, comparable channel.

Today Suppliers Houses

Cascading questionnaires

Data that cannot be compared from one house to the next, re-entered endlessly, exhausted suppliers. Nobody really consolidates their scope 3.1.

With CadranZero Suppliers Houses

One declaration, shared with all

The supplier declares once. Each client house receives the same data, structured and comparable, and chooses its level of detail with the supplier's agreement.

How it works

From the invitation to a consolidated scope 3.1

Step 01

The house invites

Each house invites its suppliers and finds the industry directory, sorted by component type.

Step 02

The supplier declares

Carbon inventory and product LCAs, by part number and across the full life cycle.

Free tools
Step 03

They share, at their own discretion

To each house, partial or full. Revocable at any time; full detail requires their confirmation.

Step 04

The house consolidates

Real data replaces the estimates. The house tracks its scope 3.1 and its coverage rate.

The model

Only the houses pay. The suppliers, never.

For suppliers

Four professional tools, free

You pay nothing, ever. In exchange for data declared only once, you get the environmental toolkit your clients expect from you.

Free for all suppliers
01

Life cycle assessment

Calculate the footprint of each part, across the six life cycle stages, following the methodological framework of ISO 14040 and 14044. Part number, materials, processes, transport, end of life.

Two recognised factor databases: BAFU (ecoinvent) and Base Carbone (ADEME)
02

Corporate carbon inventory

Build and maintain your company's carbon inventory, scopes 1, 2 and 3, year after year. Your decarbonisation trajectory takes shape from one reporting year to the next.

Strictly private: no house ever has access to it
03

Regulatory monitoring

The Swiss and European texts that concern you, with their deadlines and their impact level, gathered in one place. Your teams stop searching.

Time given back to your technical teams
04

Method and documentation

Entry guides, methodology, reading the results: enough to understand your own LCAs and bring the skill in house, instead of outsourcing it at every client request.

Designed for teams with no sustainability department

You keep your hand on every piece of data. Your carbon inventory stays private. Your LCAs go only to the houses you choose, part by part, at the level of detail you decide, and you can revoke a share at any time.

Frequently asked questions

What is scope 3.1, and why is it so hard to calculate in watchmaking?

Scope 3.1 covers emissions from purchased goods and services. In watchmaking it is the dominant share of a house's footprint, because most of the value is made outside its walls: cases, dials, hands, movements, straps, surface treatments. The difficulty is not the calculation, it is the data: it sits with hundreds of suppliers who share neither the same tool nor the same boundary. For want of anything better, houses fall back on ratios per franc spent, which do not move when a supplier genuinely improves its process.

What does CadranZero cost a supplier?

Nothing. Suppliers get free access to the LCA platform, to their company's carbon footprint, to regulatory monitoring and to the guides. Only the houses fund the platform. The reason is simple: charging the party that produces the data means going without the data.

Can my competitors see my data?

No. Every company is isolated within the platform. Your data is visible only to you, and to a house only if you have created a share for it. A resource that does not belong to you does not appear empty: it does not exist for you. This isolation is verified by automated tests re-run on every code change.

Does a house see the detail of my costs or my processes?

You decide, share by share. With partial sharing, the house receives the total footprint of the part and its breakdown by life cycle stage, without the individual lines. With full sharing, it also sees the calculation register, with factors, quantities and contributions: that level requires your explicit confirmation. No price information is ever asked of you. A share can be revoked at any time.

Where is the data hosted?

In Switzerland, on a dedicated server at Infomaniak, a Swiss host whose data centres are ISO 27001 certified. The platform itself is not certified: it applies measures aligned with Annex A of that standard. We prefer to say it that way rather than leave an ambiguity. Processing is described in the privacy policy, in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection.

Do I need a sustainability department to use the platform?

No, and that is deliberate. Most watchmaking suppliers do not have one. The process is broken into short steps, every field states what it expects, and a help centre supports each module. What you need is not a carbon specialist: it is someone who knows the workshop, its material quantities, its processes and its energy.

How is this different from an Excel questionnaire or a general-purpose platform?

An Excel questionnaire produces data that is only comparable to itself: every house asks its questions its own way, and the same supplier re-enters, dozens of times, figures that do not add up. A general-purpose platform, for its part, ignores the structure of watchmaking: its stages, processes and units do not match what a workshop can measure. Here the supplier declares once, in a format designed for its parts, and every house receives the same data.

Which emission factor databases are used?

26,954 factors, from two public sources: the Swiss federal administration's LCI database (FOEN 2025, 11,558 factors) and ADEME's Base Carbone (15,396 factors). Every calculation line states the factor used, its source and its reference location. Suppliers always see them; a house sees them with full sharing.
